Sound sculptural installation as part of DAISY DAISY. a group show made up of members of the Douglas Hyde Gallery Student Forum held at The Complex Gallery Aug 9-11, 2024 in Dublin, Ireland.
Found polystyrene, found rebar steel, found wood, Mt Vesuvius volcanic rock, pressed Irish wildflowers, bronze, gifted Bát Tràng ceramic, found glass, Nepalese singing bowl mallets.
This installation included sculptures that I carried with me from “Australia” to Ireland.
I gathered the polystyrene from around Dublin, with one piece found by my mate Grant from New Orleans. I scavenged the metal from McGoverns Metal Recycling in Rathmines, Keith and the lads were more than happy to let my dig through their stockpile. I found rebar steel, and three pipes. It’s actually a good story… maybe I’ll tell it sometime.
